The UrduPlatform.com website is dedicated to the promotion of Urdu prose and poetry which reflects secular thinking, and which moves away from hackneyed and obsolete styles of expression. It is intended to provide a living and shared platform for Urdu poets, writers and intellectuals who are otherwise unable to find their voices in traditional mushaira gatherings, or through websites dedicated solely to the propagation of religious views. This website will welcome contributions from people whose writings reflect concern for the pressing problems and challenges of modern living, and whose thinking is not grounded in the past.
